Bake-Neko turned her head slightly to follow the direction of the people outside in the parking lot. "Is there a problem? If so I may be able to assist, after all I am a woman of business as well."

The biker laughed. "Relax. This is just two alpha males snarling and snapping and feeling each other out. We've shown each other our teeth and shown that we aren't going to be run off by a threat display, we'll settle into just growling and watching for a weakness. If you feel capable of taking care of business without me tagging along, feel free to head on in. I'll hang out here with the opposition and keep him out of your hair."

Bishop raised an eyebrow. "You talk too much."

"Anger management," said the biker with a feral grin. "They tell you to talk things through rather than just acting out the aggression. It's worked wonders."

"I'll bet it has. Turned an alpha male into a chihuahua."

"Hey, don't dis the chihuahua. If it wasn't for them, ten thousand rich old women would be trying to keep a cat from jumping out of their purses and we all know how hard that would be."

"It's a small problem!" Alyss responded as she watched Kahlia head for the entrance. "I've managed to conclude most of it, yet she..." A small movement indicated the biker walked across the carpark. "Doesn't know that its gone yet. I'd rather not continue our conversation from earlier as she might be the type to take my success personally!"

Kahlia entered the place without incident, her eyes flickering over the bunch of dead heads and drunks in the smoky atmosphere with barely a second's thought.

where is she? Her quarry was not immediately visible. that bastard had us fooled her eyes landed on several girls, yet none of them were obviously identifiable as her quarry. She crossed to the bar and ordered a drink, it wouldn't be right to enter and immediately leave.

Hitome nodded and passed the woman a card. It simply read 'Bake-Neko' "Magical Consultant & Problem Analyzing/Solutions' and had a number on it. "Its possible to leave without being seen if that is your desire." She replied quietly.

Alyss looked at the card and then back up at Hitomi, opening her mouth to reply. "I…" The door swung open and she watched Kahlia cross the room, glance about idly before turning and walking up to the bar. "If you could just keep that girl occupied.." She flicked her eyes in Kahlia's direction. "I would certainly be grateful in both mental and the money senses of the word."

Kahlia turned slowly on her bar seat and sipped the acrid tasting beverage, well I now know what dog piss tastes like and ran her eyes over the rest of the clientele. A rather sagging heifer over in one corner, drunk whore in the other, several hot girls draped over various guys very nice but not my girl. An oriental and her blue haired companion, black haired girl with her back to her..that might be her she got up and casually began to walk across the floor.

Kahlia's unsuspecting target sat at a table by herself, slowly sipping amber liquid from a tumbler. She didn't seem to be particularly agitated but looks could be deceiving. Perhaps she'd had enough to drink to take the edge off her nerves, now that her job was done. After all, the black man outside had said the package had been passed on. The question was to whom?

Hitome nodded "It would probably be more easy if you slipped into the bathroom. I could either hide you with an invisibility spell or alter your looks long enough for you to slip out and all for only fifty nu yen." She softly replied her eyes meeting the womans looking for and indicator as to if she was willing to continue with the transaction.

"That might not even be necessary," a young man said, slipping into the seat across from Akira, being careful not to block either of the two women from an escape route. He was, like Akira, Japanese and, like her, looked slightly out of place in the bar. When seen with the mage's third eye, he glowed with the inner light of a physical adept. "I have need of a pair of attractive and talented young women. If it seems that you are here to meet me, rather than hiding from someone, your chances of escape increase considerable. Hide in plain sight."

"Not to interrupt your relaxation but.." Kahlia stated as she slid around the table and into place before the dark haired girl, a cool smile firmly on her features. "Perhaps you could tell me who….." Her eyes slid over the other girl as she spoke and the words died on her lips. it's not her She thought with a sudden flash of irritation, noting the different shape to the girl's face, the way she met her gaze with confusion, she may look very similar to the girl on the road, but it wasn't her. She realised that the girl was staring at her expectantly and she finished with.

"Who hands out the jobs around here?"

Alyss looked up from her appraisal of Kahlia as an unknown man sat down before them. "Really?" She asked, with only the mildest trace of amusement in her tone. "And what exactly does this work entail?" She had been prepared to pay the fifty nuyen to get past the girl only two tables away, but it was always good policy to cultivate new opportunities. though it'll probably involve dancing in a seedy bar she thought cynically as she waited for the guy to respond.

I hope Bishop is a patient man she glanced briefly out of the window towards, hoping that this other guy wouldn't take too long.

"That depends on the kind of job you're looking for," the girl answered. "Well, actually, no it doesn't. Your best bet is to start with the bartender. He'll either throw a note pad and an apron at you or point you to somebody who needs some help." She chuckled. "Of course amateur hour isn't until Thursday night, along with the karaoke contest."

"It is a simple job, easily done and well rewarded," the man said. "There are places I cannot go, because of my sex. Into these places, the pair of you could easily pass. All I ask is that you go into a specific room and open a specific window. Whether you remain or depart at that point is immaterial to me."

"Tell me a bit more about this job, sir. It sounds interesting enough..." She took the chance to read his aura in hopes of gleaning further information. As it seemed a specified total of Nu Yen to open a window in a place might seem like a good deal, but it was the way he worded it that made her uncomfortable.

"Tomorrow afternoon at exactly two in the afternoon, I wish a specific window opened. That is all I need. Once you have completed that, you can linger or leave, as you see fit but the window must remain open when you leave. You must do this as a pair because only in a pair will you be allowed access to the area." The man smiled, his aura showing a professional degree of calm and a slight hint of arousal. He didn't seem anxious or nervous. He seemed confident in approaching two total strangers and asking them to do this task for him. "I am prepared to offer you five hundred nuyen."

Alyss' eyebrows flicked up slightly at the offered price and she checked the man over carefully. "What's the catch?" She asked after several moments of silent thought.

and do I really need to head out on another job so soon? She had been paid enough for tonight's work and her body felt the need for rest. She could feel the bruises forming already on her pale skin and knew that by tomorrow she would be in a world of hurt.

"Thank's for the tip!" Kahlia said with a smile. Her eyes flickered around the bar again, the blue haired girl's face was turned away, facing the man across from her and the two she was with... She quickly scanned the body language, they were doing business but so far nothing had changed hands. Fresh from her mistake with the dark haired girl in front of her, she was reluctant to dive into another.

Bugger her sub-vocal crackled into life, informing the man outside. I think she's finished business. I can't tell who she is clearly

"Five hundred nuyen to walk into a women's only club and open a window and you ask what the catch is?" The man shook his head. "Maybe you're too paranoid for this job. Maybe you'll start acting like your the star in some spy trid. I don't need that kind of heatscore working for me."

"Keep looking," Lobo said. "Laughing boy out here hasn't been paid yet and she owes him large. Either you've missed her or she's in the bathroom, sneaking out the window so she doesn't have to replace buddy's truck. What's that? Sorry. Bishop's truck."

"If I may ask. Such clubs usually require one to have a membership. Will you be arranging this or will I be needing to enroll to get the job done?" Hitome asked quietly her eyes meeting the mans. If all he wanted was an open window in a fitness club what did she care. She would likely leave and that would be the end of it. And she would be 500 bucks richer.

The man gave her a keenly appraising look. "It is a women's only club," he said. "The first visit is free. Unless you've already been there once, there is no need for a membership. They are eager to have visitors, so that they might recruit from their ranks."

"Tomorrow afternoon at exactly two," the man said, showing a very slight hint of irritation. "As I already indicated. I am prepared to give you one hundred each, on the spot. Not exactly half but enough to convince you that the rest is forthcoming. I assume script is acceptable?" He slid an envelope between them. "You will also find the address inside and a phone number. You may call any time after three, to make arrangements to pick up the rest of your payment. We will be rather flexible, to accomodate any other obligations you have."

The corners of the man's mouth twitched upwards slightly. "I'm sorry if you misunderstood. It was not five hundred each but five hundred to split between you." There was a look in his eye that was a definite acknowledgment of the fact that Hitome scored a well played point.

However if she declines and I am willing to accept,and preform the task adequately, I do not see why I should not get 500Ny since that is what your original offer was. I do understand you meant it to be for two people, but as a mage I can assure you I work discreetly. I could more than likely walk into this establishment without having to even gain a pass and leave without anyone being none the wiser to me having been there." She offered him a polite smile her jade green eyes appraising him and studying his aura. "What is the security like, if any in regards to man power and surveillance?"

I guess that will be up to her if she wishes to partake in some easy money or not. If that is an issue and she wished to decline please take my card and contact me before noon so I can make arrangements to meet with your alternative candidate."

Alyss watched as the other two talked, smarting slightly from his words. So what if she was paranoid, it had kept her alive. She felt Kahlia's eyes on her and turned back to face the other two. what the hell.. two hundred and fifty and a chance to make new contacts

On it Kahlia stood and walked across the room towards the bar, glancing at the blue haired girl as she walked by her table. she's the only candidate The girl was wearing black leather, strategically placed zips revealing smooth, creamy skin that was darkening slightly due to bruising.

of course she mentally cursed herself for being stupid, cyberhair She looked at the party and decided against walking into the group. Taking a table near the group, she sipped the drink and tried not to grimace at the acrid taste.
