Okay guys here is the skinny on the game. Ive been asking around the various players of the thread and to make life easier for everyone involved so you don't have to read a punishing amount of pages and put in 8 hours of reading time.... We have officially decided to move the time line of ANITA BLAKE RP.

What does this mean for you? It means go to the bios area and look at what characters you guys have and lets get a convo started post your characters and just give me an honest blurb about what you figure your character might have been up to for the five years since we last left our intrepid adventures. I know some of you had more than one character in threads so if you had more than one please remind and refresh our memories. If you do not wish to play your previous characters please also let us know that. To make the thread more manageable if you have 2 player characters but wish to pair it down to one, we will be happy to accommodate that as well.

It has been brought to my attention that currently what I am aware of is that we have 2 leopard players and a were rat. and a police detective. a werewolf and a vampire
Lets familiarize ourselves with these guys or come up with something that you would rather play and find a nice way to retire your old ones if that is what you choose.

my job on here was to help co mod the thread by running the entire  Leopard clan minus Brians Character Movan who was the head of the Leopard Pard.

I also ran the paranormal task force with Suki Neubosato  as well as officer David Thurgar and Maria Celes. They were busy working on trying to create ties to the shifter and vampire communities to better help bring in rogue cannons and protect their innocent members.

My only player character <i had on here was Katherine Martin A were cat who was looking for more of her kind and had hit up seattle to see if she might be fortunate to find what she was looking for, instead she met a leopard pard that she shacked up with for a while and met some interesting vampire characters at arch angle tower while employed as janitorial staff there.

I just had the one character, Cynara Thorson. She's a wereleopard, and was new to the whole thing. As far as I can remember she really hadn't done much in the thread other than hanging out at the ranch. I'd have to go back and read and see if there was really anything specific she had done. If I can manage to join back up and post, I'm good with the time jump, and I probably want to edit her a bit, for her growth during the time jump, because I made her a very long time ago and just reading her bio made me cringe slightly lol.

Cynara let us know what things you want to change and we can discuss growth and what is going on with the leopard pack.

Cynara was also quite vocal at the town hall meeting where the Preternatural Crimes unit was introduced.

Things that will be addressed in the update:

Ongoing plot lines
The outcome of Lobo's trial
The serial killer that was skinning shapeshifters on the full moon
The pyrokinetic arsonist

Status of all the shifter groups (rats, leopards and wolves)
Status of the vampires

Are there any topics that people want specifically addressed?

I will be reprising my role as Lillian, the albino were rat in Nick's Rodere.  I remember that she was generally used as the "face" of the group, acting as liason with the preternatural unit.  As far as what she would have been up to, I imagine much of the same, trying to help build relations in the city as best as she could.  I am not sure if she would have really engaged in any kind of romantic relations.

Tony would be disappointed but he would deal.  He's also showing signs of becoming an Alpha.

I have 3 toons in AB.

Daniel LaFeat -- Human Cop, transplant from New Orleans (Merry Gentry Thread), retired U.S. Marine, he has the gift of Second Sight -- Left off with him questioning the were-rat about the arsonist.

Shale Menderhar  -- Alaskan Wolf, first pack destroyed by hunters, found her way to Seattle, mated to Ryan McQueen the Seattle Wolf Packs Loki  --  Left off with her getting a gathering together at the Pack Preserve to help everyone start to heal after the rogue vamp took control of Lobo and the ensuing aftermath.

Countess Elisabeta Dragomir  --  Master Vampire from Soroca in modern day Moldavia  --  She was hunting a rogue vamp and followed him all the way to Seattle -- Left off with her witnessing the execution of the rogue vamp, Time jump had her leaving Seattle since her chase was over, Waylon Crosby mentioned her tracking of the rogue vamp during Lobo's trial.

Ok, so I legitimately spent today reading over all of the archives of the Anitaverse to familiarize myself with everything directly related to my character and the Pard. I didn't read every post, but I did read every post that had to do with a Pard member, excluding some of Brandy's things because she was off on her own thing and wouldn't have shared that information with the Pard. So all that being said, I now need to sit down and try to figure out who Cynara would be now after 5 years, and whether I have it in me to be able to reliably post on here again. I sure as hell miss it that's for sure. I just don't seem to have much in the way of creative juices.

My 5 year Cynara update:
Cynara was working full time stripping at Lucid Dreams, but has since tapered off and only works weekends there now. She spends most of her time helping Kyle in running the ranch/caring for the pard. She also works the occasional shift at Kyles two shops and volunteers with the Preturnatural Task Forces outreach program (if that's still a thing)

I will be reviving my snow leopard, Seren. By this point in time she's definitely become more comfortable with being in a Pard. She's been hired on at the museum that she used to volunteer at in the back labs used for cleaning the artifacts. She also helps the Preternatural unit out when they need to identify a scent, as her nose is extra sensitive due to her blindness.

Adalyn the swamp-rat will be coming back as well. She's in her last year of her bachelor's degree program for Marine conservation. She is planning on trying for the master's program. She is also working at the Seattle Aquarium as an intern in the marine bird and mammal husbandry department as part of her schooling. She's also thinking about asking for full admittance to Nick's Rodere.

It appears I had 2 characters. Malaki a vampire i dont even remember writting so we might as well just forget this character as far as im concerned. Then katana the werepard. 5 years is a long time to grow indeed so I'm trying to think on it what direction I want to take her if I choose to take her and all that "baggage".

Okay so I went back and brushed up on a few things.  First is I had her name wrong lol.  It is Lillia not Lillian.  Close though.  Closest people to her can call her lilly or lil.  So I see in five years that she finally met her father, and it did not go well.  He was disgusted by her and left town quickly in an attempt to save his reputation, hoping that it didn't get out that his own daughter was a were.  Lillia tried to play off the situation as nothing big, focusing on her duties to the rodere, but it devastated her even though it's what she really expected to happen.  For a long time she pulled back from getting too close to anyone, and likely has just recently begun to allow herself to open back up.  So any romantic connections would be rather recent and would have had to be initiated by the other party.  So that means if Tony was still interested, he would have had to speak up.

Tony would have been a rock of support for her in her time of need but would not have tried to take advantage of her vulnerability.  He's that friend who would always be there when she needed him but never asked for more than friendship, even though he might have wanted more.  There would be no question that he was interested but he would leave the ball in her court.

I have gone back and reread the entire thread (mostly, skimmed over a bunch of it).  So here is my 5 yr synopsis:

Daniel LaFeat -- Human Cop --  Still working with the Preternatural Unit; member of the Preternatural Unit Advisory Board; has been working on the arson case; other duties as assigned; has found an affinity/empathy for working with shifters

Shale Menderhar -- Wolf -- She has become the unofficial 'den' mother of the pack (someone they can go to talk about anything if they need to, a defacto therapist without all the training); she is still working in landscaping; still mated to Ryan McQueen; she has offered to put up 1/3 of the money to start the school for shifter children and has suggested that the Cats and Rats each put up 1/3 at well giving each faction an equal stake in the school; she would also suggest that the core of the school's administration be made up of a committee of one Rat, one Cat and one Wolf, again to make sure that everyone has an equal say; she is the Packs rep to the Preternatural Unit Advisory Board; anything else would depend on the outcome of Lobo's trial and how the pack held up

Countess Elisabeta Dragomir -- Vampire from the City of Soroca -- She might have left Seattle after the rogue vamps execution or she might have had to remain as a possible witness in Lobo's trial; if she returned home she would have returned to Seattle if asked to testify at the trial; she would have tried to convince the Hunter, Miguel San Miguel, to become her consort and mostly likely become blood bonded; if the attack on the convent in Moldavia has become public knowledge than it has also most likely become known that she was dispatched to hunt the rogue making it potentially dangerous to return home in which case she would have petitioned to remain in Seattle; if she has remained in Seattle she would have purchased an appropriate house(s) and/or a piece of land to build upon; there is a high probability that she would have petitioned to have some of the weaker vamps from Soroca to be allowed to relocated to Seattle (her small entourage); after the execution of the rogue vamp she would have requested a private meeting Seattle's Master, or at the very least with Nigel, to discuss a very delicate but important matter (LJ and I have talked about the basics via messenger) which would have the potential to keep her in Seattle for the foreseeable future

I had two gals in game, one ended up being more active than the other...I have no idea why, but I would be down for having them both return. I did a buttload, that is the technical term of course, of reading last night and I have a pretty good handle on where both of them were.

Sailor Morgan - VampireBurlesque dancer extraordinaire at La Cirque in downtown Seattle. Last time we saw her she was being used as a pretty faced tool of the Master of the city. Waylon was in talks with her to pose as a nun to be used as bait for the rogue vampire killer.
What has she been doing? Well definitely keeping La Cirque filled with happy paying customers and dancing her little tushy off to keep the marks rolling in. I can see her being used further by the city vamps for various "party face" needs, but that is something I would have to discuss further with those in charge.

Troy Dwyer - Werewolf Ex-child prodigy skateboard wizard. Owns a skate shop in Capitol Hill and part of the Seattle pack via her home turf of California. Was part of an inter-pack relations to establish alliances between packs along the west coast and a know were-rights advocate. Stayed in Seattle, because the Seattle pack needed all the help they could get to interact with the rest of the world, and hey...why the hell not, a change is as good as a rest.

Last time we saw her: Outside the courthouse talking to reluctant vampires and mystery wolves right at the time of a big fiery kablooey. She did have plans to meet said mystery wolf after eating, for a run a the beach....and that is as far as she got.

Where is she now? After all the shit went down and she lost a potential mate in Andrew, she would have shaken off her grief by throwing herself into some sort of activism, advocacy and mediation. I like the thought that she would have allowed herself to become the face of were-rights, being used to being in the spotlight and conducting herself in her usual gregarious, friendly and at times down right goofy manner to win over folks. She would have made an effort of making sure she became an invaluable member of the pack and would be constantly pushing for more pack alliances.
