Getting to know you....(chapter 1.2 Night shift)

"That is because you don't know them," Talbot said.  "I'm not part of this pack.  I just have to train it.  If I have to join this pack, rest assured, there will be changes."  He moved ahead of the Bastet and pulled the door to the infirmary open.

Department 7 Headquarters - Infirmary  11:24 pm - Samuel

Samuel nodded at the M.A. as he passed through the door the man opened, "We've got a live one, here. She might have a concussion. She certainly has a third eye growing over her third eye."

He looked for someplace to set her down and gently lowered her into a sitting position. "Welcome to the infirmary", he said as he rose back up when he was sure she was sitting on her own. He looked around the room, taking in the sights, scents and taste of the place and people there.

Department 7 Headquarters - Hallways of Department 7  11:25 pm - Babadora

Babadora climbed down from her step stool beside the patient bed. She had just finished telling Molly to go see Mike so he could give her a joint to help with the pain when Talbot Destiny and Samuel showed up.

She looked at the trio with wide storm cloud colored eyes as she examined who was in the worst shape physically, as well as studying their auras. None of them were going to die in the next few minutes so that was good.

"Please come in and lets take a look at you guys. Who is going first Agent Jacobson or Agent Talbot?" she asked her voice soft as she peeled off her rubber gloves that she had used to treat Molly and replaced them with a new sterile pair.

"I'm going to make a radical assumption and say Jacobson, since I'm only here because I was ordered here," Talbot said.  "And for the record it's major Talbot, not agent.  I'm air force, not-" he waved a hand to encompass the facility "-whatever this is."

Destiny settled where Samuel had placed her and tried to think of something to add to the conversation between Samuel and the new trainer? that is what he said and she wondered what sort of training he thought she needed. Somehow being able to take sight and shoot at a spirit did not seem practical and for the person standing directly behind the spirit well she would end up having a team mate to talk to after. She looked up and smiled at the tiny woman who was attending the wounded.

"I can answer that question..Sir about whatever this is..that's simple.." Destiny giggled and then looked the Major in the eyes though her bright blue orbs were not really focusing that well. "This is an X-file, wrapped in a cover up then deep fired in a paranoid conspiracy theory" She giggled never thinking going to a movie one lonely Saturday by herself and watching something called Monsters Versus Aliens or that the one quote that had stuck with her would ever be practical.

Department 7 Headquarters - Common Room - 11:27 pm - Vesper Novak

Vesper wasn't much bothered by the Native man's general lack of a response, though he had to admit he was a little disappointed. He'd have to inquire on it later, perhaps to someone else...

For a while, Vesper simply stood and watched the going-ons of the room around him, acting third-person to each situation like a fly on the wall. Mostly, he watched Kyoko clean, wanting to help but finding some block between thought and action preventing him from pursuing the idea. The bleach smelled awful.

As things simmered and people began leaving to seek treatment, Vesper found his mind again just as Kyoko had decided to leave the steam cleaner to its cleaning. The half-Japanese werewolf moved to sit in a near-by couch, listening to the youth from earlier and her converse about vampires.

Department 7 Headquarters - Hospital area - 11:27 pm - Babadora

Babadora took out a pen light and examined Destiny's eyes. "Actually Major what we do here is police the Province to make sure humans stay blissfully unaware of your kind, my kind or anything else that might be considered paranormal or supernatural. Most of the time that means dealing with rouge vampires or shifters that won't listen to the rules that have been set up by tribe and clan. We also work in capacity to protect those that are new to the change be it their first shift or strays that were embraced and abandoned. We protect and serve both man and ourselves by keeping the lid on things and preforming damage control."

The twelve year old girl shut off her pen light and began to gingerly inspect Destiny's head for bumps and cuts. "We also take pride in educating and informing like minded individuals that we are here to speak with and help out if problems arise.  Department 7 has assisted the beast courts in the past year as well as the kindred community. Strangely enough as odd as it sounds I held a spot on the courts for a short time and was liaison for one of the wolf packs.  I had a werewolf decide I was worth getting the protection of the local pack. It was... educational and interesting time. I have nothing but respect for the shifter community."

She paused as she examined a small goose egg on Destiny's head "How bad would you say that hurt dear?"

Department 7 Headquarters - Common Room - 11:27 pm - Kyoko Chyuu

After a while of tinkering and little result Kyoko's frustration was a little more than above normal. "Why wont you WORK?!" She demanded of the happily buzzing TV she brought her fist down on top of it and with a "bloop" the screen returned to it's colourful dance list and poppy music. "Oh...Well then." She said brightly.
"Who's next?" She said turning around the room eagerly to see...Almost everyone had left. Had she been in a fluffier form her ears would have drooped but instead her shoulders sagged. "So much for a tourney...Maybe just a couple rounds for fun?" Her demeanour turned hopeful not wanting to call it an early night on the bonding, a team that DDR's together, stays together.
"Tabitha was it? Vesper? Paul?"

Department 7 Headquarters - Hospital area - 11:27 pm - Destiny

The light flashed in her eyes and she suddenly felt nauseated. She swallowed hard and tried to concentrate {I won't throw up. I won't throw up} she chanted in her head and let Babadora examine her further. When the tiny vampire touched the goose egg Destiny pulled away sharply. "I suppose about an eight because I did not pass out when you prodded me" she felt the cold clammy and her color had become a definite ashen shade.

"I think I hit my head a lot harder then I first thought." she whispered softly to Babadora.

Department 7 Headquarters - Common Room - 11:28 p.m.  - -  Tabitha

Tabby smiled at Kyoko.  "Feel free to call me Tabby, most of my friends do," she said.  She looked at the DDR mat with something akin to dread then she shrugged.  "Sounds good to me.  Just go easy on me the first time around would 'ya.  Like I said before its been at least a good three years since I've had a chance to do this so I am a little out of practice."  Tabby turned to Mr. Faust for just a minute.  "The list of things I want from New York is very short Mr. Faust.  My leather coat and my choker is all I really care about getting back.  They are in my locker at the FBI building in Manhattan."  She turned back to Kyoko and held her hand out to the DDR mats.  "Shall we?" she asked as she stripped down to her panties and bra.  "Much more comfortable."  Tabitha was obviously not bashful around strangers when it came to showing skin.

Department 7 Headquarters - Hospital area - 11:27 pm - Babadora

"Agreed you have a mild concussion Agent Jaccobson.  My recommendation is take a few advil lay down in a dimly lit room and rest. We can get you a cool compress for your head and see how you feel in a couple hours. Rest is the best way to let your body heal naturally.  We can arrange to let you nap in here since your room isnt furnished yet with the exception of the cot that comes standard. Or we can let you crash out in Agent Skylars room its still furnished despite her having moved on. Either way I can come check up on you ever two hours to see how you are and if your mental faculties are still in order." Babadora replied as she snapped off her gloves and climbed off her step stool.  The preteen looking vampire picked it up and made her way over to the cabinet and took out two liquid gel Advil and gave them to Destiny.  She took a small papper cup from the water dispenser and handed both pills and water over to the concussed girl.

Department 7 Headquarters - Common Room - 11:29 p.m.  - -  Heinrich

Heinrich chuckled, as much at Paul's expression when Tabitha stripped as at anything else.  "I'll put in the request," he said.  "I can't say how long it will take but we'll do what we can.  Enjoy what is left of your evening, ladies, Paul.  I'll be in my office if I'm needed."

"Is that cheating?" Paul asked Kyoko, nodding towards Tabitha.  "I mean that is really distracting.  She could score a zero and I wouldn't notice."

Department 7 Headquarters - Hospital area - 11:28 pm - Talbot

"Sounds like Jacobson's description is pretty accurate," Talbot said.  "Okay, Geronimo, time for you to get dressed.  I'm sure the ladies are impressed with your equipment but I'm not.  You can either grab a hospital gown or get your own clothes but you will get dressed.  That's an order."

The little vampire nodded. "Its not a rule but it is courtesy Agent Keme to wear clothing in the department. Some of the employees might find your..." She paused gently bitting her lower lip as she looked for the word. "... assets distracting."

She looked over to the Werewolf. "You are a shifter Major what are the extent of your injuries, will you need attention of will a simple shift and you wandering around for a half hour or an hour settle things on their own?"

"The Kook bit me.  It'll take a while to heal.  Everything else is done."  Talbot looked the tiny vampire up and down.  "And there are rules governing his nakedness.  It's called indecent exposure."

Department 7 Headquarters - Hospital area - 11:29 pm - Babadora

The child like vampire nodded accessing the large man. Her dark grey eyes shone with an introspective light as she nodded. "Agreed."

She left to the alcove and came back with a hospital robe. "This should work for now until you can go back to your room to change. We do try to accommodate everyones needs here but it would be preferable to keeping your nakedness to your personal areas. You have to atleast were boxers while in the common areas." She said offering Samuel a smile.

"So how long will you be with us Major?" Babadora asked in way of polite conversation as her eyes swept over his impressive form. She couldn't help but cock her head slightly as she asked as she studied the myriad of shifting colors in his aura.  His was new and she was enjoying the information that was coming her way about him as a shifter. Keme was also interesting he was her first were cat to observe after all.

Department 7 Headquarters - Common Room - 11:29 p.m. - Vesper Novak

"Goodnight, Mr. boss man," Vesper sad to Heinrich in farewell, taking being addressed as a lady very casually. It wasn't the first time. It most likely wouldn't be the last. It wasn't that he looked particularly feminine, more that he didn't act particularly masculine. Though, in this instance, it was more than likely simply a miscalculation of bodies.

The young Bonegnawer looked to his even younger female counterpart as she stripped down. "Is it easier without so much clothing?" he asked, more to himself than to Tabitha, before turning to Kyoko. "Should I strip, too?"

Department 7 Headquarters - Common Room - 11:30 p.m.  - -  Tabitha

Tabby turned to look at the one who spoke.  "No its not easier to play if you strip down.  The clothing they gave me to wear after picking me up are not that comfortable to me.  They are not my usual type of clothing and I find them a little too constricting, especially for something like this."  As she was speaking to him it hit her like a ton of bricks... he was another Bonegnawer.  Tabby had met a good two dozen while she was on the streets of New York but she only really associated with one on a regular basis.  Now she had at least two that she would interact with on a constant basis.

Department 7 Headquarters - Common Room - 11:30 p.m. - Vesper Novak

Vesper smiled at his fellow Bonegnawer. "Oh, alright. That makes sense," he replied, unzipping his off-black sweater and tossing it to a near-by vacated couch. He wouldn't strip down completely, but he'd at least remove the excess layer of clothing to open up his movement. Not that it had hindered him in his last round.

Department 7 Headquarters - Infirmary  11:29 pm - Samuel

Samuel ignored Major Asshole's demands for clothing. It was irritating, especially coming from another shifter. When Vampire Girl had no immediate issue with it he felt vindicated and was a little disappointed at the argument of indecent exposure wining her over. Ah well. There were human staff about and Medium was human and had a conservative streak so he decided to bow gracefully to the pressure since he would have to work with them at least in the long term.

He returned the little vampires smile and gave a bow, "I appreciate the offer of the hospital gown but I'll change into a form that won't be so distracting for the him and get my own", he said with a grin.
He glanced at Girl Psychic and said, "If they have you stay in here I'll be back in a bit to see how you're doing, otherwise I will see you back at the common area, I hope."

He shifted into his full feline form just before going through the door and trotted away down the hall back to the common room.

The raven haired vampirette nodded to Samuel thankful he wasnt going to put up a fuss. Her dark gey eyes settled on Talbot. "Major you might as well have a seat so we can look at that leg. And speaking of exposure..." she looked at the torn and pulled seams of his clothing. "Perhaps you should slip into a gown as well you are not nearly in the same position as Agent Keme but your clothing is tediously close to wanting to wander elsewhere."

Department 7 Headquarters - Infirmary  11:31 pm - Talbot

"My clothing is torn, not missing," Talbot said.  "I'm not in need of a gown."  He sat down in a chair and rolled up the leg of his pants to reveal when Kyoko had duct taped a bandage over Molly's bite.  "All it needs is a proper dressing.  It will heal up well enough on its own."

Department 7 Headquarters - Infirmary  11:30pm -Destiny

The gel caps were taken along with the glass of water ad she took a sip of the water then popped the pills into her mouth. She then swallowed down the rest of the water washing the pills down and lay down on the cot. "I will stay here..or I can go back to my room..I do not need a lot of fancy things" she said softly. She flashed back onto the bare bones bedroom she shared with her two cousins the old cast iron  bed with the sagging lumpy mattress a step down from the cots that were in the unclaimed rooms.

Her head laid down and she put the ice pack on her goose egg eyes closing the voices becoming soft murmurings until Samuel spoke. her eyelids flickered up and she nodded.."Don't think I will be finding out what a DDR is tonight and thank you I will look forward to your visit" Destiny let her eyelids flutter close again and felt the room dissolve into nothingness.

Department 7 Headquarters - Infirmary  11:31pm -Babadora

The young girl got some rubbing alchol to help loosen the duct tape bandage as to not rip out more of the mans hair on his legs as she could. The dressing was pulled back and two deep puncture marks were clearly visible on his calf.

Babadora slipped pair of gloves and cleaned the wound with iodine and looked at the Major. "You may not be aware but I have the ability to heal by touch. I haven't heard of any of mine kind that have the ability to lay on hands but that was one of my birth gifts. If you want I can use it to seal the wound and help speed recovery."
