Inside Department 7, 7:23-8:15 Samuel Keme, around the complex

The big puma spent some time to thoroughly prowl around the complex, particularly the less frequented areas. He fought off the temptation to immediately follow around the odd smells of what he assumed must be vampires despite strong curiosity. He would have a chance to meet them soon as sunset fast approaching. He wasn't quite sure what to make of them but they were definitely something that he found interesting.

He made his way pack to his room and let his instincts take over marking it as his. Not in the crude way of canines but by stretching up as high as he could and scratching lightly at the door with his claws. The scratches were a visible sign but it was the scent from the glands in his paws that others like himself would recognize as the boundary of his personal territory. He did as much to make himself feel more comfortable in his new home as much as anything else. Given the way that agent dingy had pissed all over half the facility he really didn't think anyone would get too worked up about it.

With his initial exploration taken care of he entered his room, shifted back to his human form, took out a breechclout that he had made long ago, rolled up his ID card in it and tied it off around his neck in a fashion that would be comfortable when he shifted, left his room and took his puma form once again. He was anxious to see what it was like to shift freely among people who knew what he was. Other than the gatherings of his own kind, he had never been able to do this and it had a tantalizing feeling of the forbidden, which indeed it normally was.

Once shifted, he made his way in the direction of the kitchen. It had been a while since he had eaten.

Department 7, inside Director Faust's office - 8:47 - Heinrich

"It looked more official that the ones we took this evening when you were arriving," Heinrich answered.  "Our IT team is quite talented but they didn't have a great deal of time to work on things.  They did the best they could."

Department 7, inside Director Faust's office - 8:48 - Vesper Novak

Vesper nodded, shrugged, and gave a small sigh. "Fair enough," he replied, pocketing the card so as not to have to look at it, "There are worse pictures they could have used. Probably."

He took a moment to take in the room around him. He was doing much more talking than he was accustomed to today. "Is there anything else?"

Heinrich shook his head.  "Look around.  Familiarize yourself with the compound.  Meet your coworkers.  We'll get to the hard parts tomorrow."

Inside Department 7, 7:25 - 8:00 pm  Destiny Jacobson, Halls of Department 7

With an ease that was all to familiar, Destiny quickly became next to invisible, drawing into herself and almost visibly becoming smaller, less noticeable. She listened to Mr Keme's questions and Heinrich's answers. Silently the ID badge was taken, the lanyard it was on twisted in her fingers, as she rose and left, as silently as one of her spirits.

Out in the hall she stopped  and caught her breath, trying to think, and reaching into her purse pulled her pen and day planner then chuckled not certain what she needed to schedule. Looking up a small gasp escaped Destiny as Samuel pulled his jeans off, but more so as his form blurred then changed making her wonder if she actually saw a puma  padding off down the hall . Paling a little she gripped the small purple bag tighter  and gave herself a shake. She headed towards the rooms needing to find the one she had been assigned hoping that it would be a null space a place that was not touched by death or the spirit world not certain how she would find such a place here.

Once there she looked about and cold not think of what she wished to do with the room but was certain in a few days when she felt less overwhelmed she would make it her own. She stepped out of the room and looked about again trying to get her thoughts in order.

A glance at the slim but elegant watch on her wrist told Destiny she was going to miss her evening class and she wandered off in search of a payphone drifting through the hallway towards the reception area after noting her pay as yo go El cheapo cell phone had no bars for service. She gave a sigh and hoped no one would mind her using the phone to call professor Armincourts office and explain her absence.

Once these errands were done Destiny looked about and headed outside making sure her visitors pass was replaced by her department ID and got her book bag from the back seat of the Jetta. She also retrieved a cooler bag and headed back into the building wondering where she should park certain she should of inquired when she had the opportunity. She popped out a notepad and jotted down the question hoping 'Flip' would be safe in the visitors lot for a few more hours.

Back inside the halls of the organization she had just become part of Destiny looked about and started trying to find the  assigned room again for she could get some more work done on her homework and maybe get those chapters read also while she ate her dinner which resided in the cooler bag.

He nodded again, rolled his shoulders once, twice, then turned to leave. "Alright, tomorrow then" he said, the faint Russian accent clinging to the words more than usual, "See you tomorrow, Mr... Um...?"

"Faust," Heinrich replied.  "Heinrich Vladimir Johannes Faust.  I will avoid cliche and not require that you call me Herr Faust.  That would be just too pretentious."  Heinrich's silent secretary, assistant or whatever she was opened the door for Vesper.  She gave him an impish grin.

Vesper smiled. "Faust... I'll try to remember it," he said as he approached the now held open door. "I'll see you tomorrow, Faust! - and assistant to Faust." With a wave, he left, off to familiarize himself with his new workplace. And coworkers. Until tomorrow.

Inside Department 7, 8:15-10:48 Samuel Keme, Kitchen, personal quarters

He followed his nose back to the kitchen noting as he got closer that there were a couple of kitchen staff left and resumed his human shape, putting on his breechclout in a few practiced movements. He asked for a steak and a baked potato with chives, sour cream, bacon and butter to go, if they had any of that handy, otherwise whatever leftovers they were trying to get rid of would be fine. He took the order they prepared him and and made his way back to his room, ate, curled up in the middle of the floor and took a nap.

He woke up at twenty after ten and decided to take care of his room properly. He dug out a few meager supplies and began a smudging ceremony to cleanse his room. He had just gotten the process underway when the speakers in the hall blared out the announcement of the DDR competition. He made a mental note that speakers in the hall suck, ignored the announcement for the moment and finished up the short ceremony. Once that was done, he made a mental list of things he would need to start working on his room, bundled up his ID card and breechclout, shifted and made his way towards the common areas.

En route to Hamilton    7:36 am to - 10:55 pm the next day - Talbot

Their trip was far from uneventful.  A weather front, one that Talbot described as 'not normal', crept up on them and made flying significantly more difficult.  Talbot eventually grounded the bird to wait out the storm and ended up spending he better part of the day fuming over events he could not control.  He put almost no effort into keeping track of Tabitha, as if he didn't care if she ran or not.  Perhaps he was hoping she'd run.  Perhaps he'd given her enough opportunities that he'd seen that she wasn't going to run.

It was evening before the storm let up and Talbot lifted off as soon as the weather permitted.  He'd barely been in the air for an hour before a warning light began flashing.  He muttered a curse under his breath and throttled back, taking much of the load off the engine while he headed for a landing field.

Tabitha was shown to a place where she could shower and change into a suit of generic clothing, a far cry from her prison orange jump suit.  She was informed by Talbot that they'd be there for at least eighteen hours.  He gave her no instructions as to how to spend the time, he simply cut her loose in the hangar and went to work on the helicopter with two other mechanics.

Around midnight she was shown to a small ready room where a number of cots had been set up.  Talbot was still hard at work when she drifted off.  He was working the helicopter in a fresh flight suit when she awoke.  He didn't appear tired at all and was in the air again a few hours later.

"We're going to be a full day late," he said as they landed at a small landing pad on top of the old building at the mountain brow.  "Hopefully that won't cause any problems."  He led her down an old staircase, then into a large broom closet.  Behind the back wall was a carefully concealed elevator.  "Welcome to department 7," he said as the door opened on what seemed to be the fourth sub basement.

"Hello, Miss Monroe, Major Talbot," said a well dressed man who was standing by the elevator as if waiting for them.  "I was informed that you were delayed.  I have your ID and your room assignments.  You're just in time.  The rest of the team is gathering in the common room to get to know each other.  If you'll follow me, I'll introduce you."

En route to Hamilton  - -  7:36 a.m. to 10:55 p.m. the next day  - -  Tabitha

Tabitha sat up a little straighter and her eyes took on a slight gleam when the storm hit.  She was obviously enjoying it despite the possible danger of the helicopter going down.  When the warning light went on Tabby startled just a little, not because she was frightened, but because it startled her being so unexpected.  Once they landed at the emergency field she was grateful for the warm shower and the change of clothing even if they weren't exactly her size or style.  She wondered around the hanger a little but found nothing much of interest other then watching the men work on the helicopter and even that quickly lost her interest.  Tabitha crashed on one of the cots and slept rather soundly for once.  Awaking shortly after the sun had risen she yawned, stretched and took a real quick warm shower before heading out to see if the repairs where finished yet.  She waited quietly till the repairs were finished and they were in the air again.  Briefly Tabitha thought about trying to get some more information out of her chaperon but thought better of it.  He had been in a talkative enough mood yesterday before the storm but his mood had changed with the delays.  If she was surprised about the location of her new employer she didn't show it.  When the elevator opened and they were met by a well dressed man she was slightly surprised.  She hadn't expected to be greeted by anyone let alone someone so impeccably dressed.  Though she really wasn't sure what she had truly expected.  Tabitha excepted the ID card  and slipped it into a pocket without even giving it a glance.  At the mention of being introduced to the others she perked up a bit.  She had always been a people person and it would be a nice change to be around people who didn't expect much from her right away.

Department 7  10:55 p.m.  - -  Heinrich Faust

Heinrich smiled and began leading the pair down the hall.  The scent of a subtle cologne followed him.  "I'm hoping you will both be comfortable here," he said.  "Although I suspect you will be more comfortable than the major, Miss Monroe.  I must confess to lacking a full understanding of the Garou body politic but I am aware of tribal divisions.  We have two of your tribe, an experienced agent and another new recruit.  Major Talbot is our sole Get of Fenris.  Although I can't swear to it, you may also get the chance to work with some of the other changing breeds.  Two of them transferred to different departments before your arrival, unfortunately and we suffered a casualty during one of our last missions and lost our Coyote.  We do have one as a new recruit."

He paused before continuing.  "We also have a number of kindred.  You will be expected to treat them respectfully, just as they are expected to treat you respectfully.  It is only by overcoming our differences that we become stronger as a group than we could be individually."

Department 7 - - 10:56 p.m.  - -  Tabitha

Tabitha's heart skipped a couple of beats when she heard that there were 2 other Bone Gnawers on site.  She didn't really know how she felt about that and would wait to see how they reacted to her presence before making any judgements.  She wasn't exactly sure what the man meant about there being Kindred around but she figured she would find out soon enough.  Tabby followed the well dressed man as he led them down the corridor.
