Could all the people who have not posted recently post where they are and what your character is doing?

Hurricanus - Lobo is in Dundas, down and out.  Where is Iggy?
Pyro1976 - Boogie is near Lobo in Dundas and Vic is headed for St Joes with Sarah and Tamara
Silvermist - Where are Papillion and Calvin?
Moonkatie - Fia is in Antigen's hallway
thatredhead - Where is Emily?
Krys - where are Athial and Jareth?
Numenya - Tamara is with Sarah and Vic headed for St Joes
Summyr - Rory is on her way to Dundas with Hearst and Angel
Original Icefire - Hearst is on his way to Dundas with Angel and Rory
Maxx - Angel is on his way to Dundas with Rory and Hearst and Waylon is with Dee at Antigens

We need to get things rolling again.  At one point we were 20-30 posts in a day.  Now we're doing that in a month.

Iggy is in Donna's Jeep with Calvin and Desdemona heading to the Gore Park area of Downtown.

Krys - where are Athial and Jareth?

I asked this a few weeks ago and didnt get a response. At one point Athial was going to Dundas and then I read something about her going with Vic and Sarah to the hospital. As for Jareth he's on the fence since no one really posted him anywhere or sorted him into a group I would assume he is on the patrol team downtown. Just need clarification and I can post later tonight. Since today its going into Manhattan and shopping day! *dance*

They are your characters.  You decide where they are, Hon.  David has space in his car if you're headed for Dundas....

You as Maxx said pretty much decide where you want to be in the action or non action of the thread.

As a side note I do apologize for my lack of posting. Ive got the November blahs and every time I log onto this site I just end up staring at a black screen for a half hour and get nothing accomplished.

I can't really explain it any better than that.

So yeah the sites gonna be moving slower than norm and talking with some members it seems many just dont have the time to be on here massively posting. Thatredhead and Silvertmist seem pretty tied up, Krystals in NYC, and Xmas is a month away. And I don't really post much in Decemeber due to the massive chaos of family stuffs.

So I will have to ask how ppl want to proceed. Ive talked to a couple ppl who said January would be a bit better for them. If that isnt something people are willing to accept then we can continue at the pace we are going unless Brian is willing to take the reins for a bit for me until I get my mojo back. I would be willing to fill him in on my evil plans for the next day or two game play wise and that would get you all through probably the next couple days of in game game time.

Also I am thinking the thread has become a bit chaotic with the presence of 2 chars per person. I had originally said 2 was fine but i honestly had no clue that bloodlines would take off like this and become this popular.

With the number of characters out there as well as npcs I find it admittedly frustrating/confusing/ and somewhat irritating to try and run since some characters are more difficult to handle than others.

Please weigh in on the fact that I will be cutting the character limit probably down to two and killing off one of your characters or having them leave the city.

Like I said the game took off and I'm human lol. I am finding it to be too much and this had been a thing that has been bothering me since end of sept. And once this chapter ends Ive had MORE ppl insist that want to join.

AKA Andrew and Lady Ice.

So in the fairness of the game and to try to hold onto the rest of my sanity.... yeah....

What sanity, dear...LOL

That's why I like you
Sane ppl are boring and overrated
I don't remember whether it was our Ecto Plasmic Rob  :blob1: or Hurricanus that told me that the sane ppl of the world are a minority

God, what a choice.  Angel or Waylon?  I'll have to think on that one.

Evil nasty terribly bad things happening to Fia.  And her turtle.

You see, her turtle isn't really a turtle but one of the young of a turtlesque being from outer space that is about to come looking for their kidnapped child....

Argh I hate it when things stall....

But it seems that they kinda have.

The thing I can do here to possibly get things moving is preform a bit of a time jump and just fill you guys in on the casualties of the night if you want or prefer that.

As it is though we do know that VOPAC is gonna go up like a roman candle.

Id very much like to play from pretty much that point forward if that is possible.

As if is Will and Lobo are in a very precarious position of the gangrel being down for 3 mins before he can get up which gives Doug the Sabbath enough time to bring back the Calvary and well yeah... Not good things come of that. Out numbered and out gunned I doubt there would be much point in RPing out the deaths of either char... >.<

I'd like some input from all players as to how they want to proceed. I think that maybe just a slight bump forward or even a month forward in the game would be what we need.

I could write up the list of fallen as well as what went down from current time till when court is being held. Because after all is said and done there will be a vampire court held.

Anyhow input folks. Thanks.

I don't have a problem with the time jump but disagree with the list of casualties, If people must die then... the most important times for role-playing are the points of change in a characters life and a characters final death is the most significant change (it is after all the end) and I would argue the last moments that you will ever be able play a character are at least as important as the discussions during a drive to Dundas or catching a taxi to St. Joe's... but that's just my humble opinion, I bow to the will of this world's goddess, My Lady the final say is of course yours.

On a side note Lobo and Boogie don't necessarily have to die, considering by angel's timeline Hamilton's cavalry should arrive in Dundas at 12:30 15 minutes before Lobo falls at 12:45 so the sabbat cavalry may be otherwise engaged and if I understood previous posts you are going to be asking ALL those with two characters to go down to one and if it works better to move on (as in time jump) then not having PCs especially active ones die and instead allowing people to chose which character they wish to keep and post the nature of the characters not chosen departure would probably be more conducive to a friendly role-playing environment.

They'll hit Dundas at 12:30 but they won't be anywhere near where Lobo and Boogie are for at least another half hour, ex\spaciallyconsidring they don't know where the two vampires are.

I agree that the deaths should be rp'd out.  My feeling is that our esteemed Lady Jallyn is feeling badly about having to kill offf the characters and therefore reluctant to have to rp it out.

I'm still not sure which character I'm keeping....

I'll go by whatever's decided, but yeah I think people may want to choose which char to depart with and RPG that.

Just my cent and a half

I realize they won't be at Lobo and Boogie's location but their arrival in dundas at all may give cause for them to reconsider sending a pack of newly made vampires traipsing through the woods after two kindred when although our deaths may be considered a forgone conclusion our fight might result in enough time to pass for the incoming kindred to get in on the fight (considering for the majority of them this would be their first night as vampires as opposed to Lobo and Boogie and considering Boogie's danger sense merit making it difficult to surprise them) which could result in even more role-playing be required for the arriving Hamiltonians, and again out of game I understand why but considering we are being asked to lose a character anyways, speaking only for myself, I think it would be preferable to allow everyone the choice of which character to keep and how there other character should leave.

As this thread is pretty much a paper and pencil ruled one I think the storyteller should say who dies. Losing a character you like is all part of the roleplaying experience. What's the fun if you get to choose what happens to your character?

Numenya

  • Guest
Your choice in the end. I have only one char so it doesn't specifically affect me. I know though some times I like to have some control and choose, just cause this is my escape and where I get dumb, attatched, emotional or whatever. I enjoy surprises and dealing with then in char but altogether losing a char where you have invested time effort can be much harder  and frustration just gets to me some days, that's why I voiced my cent and a half.... which is nothing more than a mere opinion at the end of the day.

my opinion  about   both the time jump  situation  and the  list of casualities  proposal is  simply this....  really  the bottom line is   although  we  as the players  have an opinion and i thank the gm  for asking us what it is ..  really  we do not have a choice  our choice is toplay or not play   with  whatever the gm   does ,  we can only hope  the gm is a good, fair to all  , and just  gm..............
my opinion.....   where it relates to hearst   .........    the upcoming  battle would  have abeen a very defining   spot  for  hearst  both for  him self and the way others  might view him in  the future  as  as  how he views some others,   and those viewpoints  would have  entirely depended on what happened in the battles  all  aspects opf the battle would have been important,  leadership,  actual fighting, defending, even  running  if that  happened,    all aspects  would have had an impact  ionto hearst viewpoints  and due to his past  with  no proper  prejudices towards clansmm  dare i say  an ever greater  impact   then  some would have otherwise thought,

not   to   the list  of causualities   point,   yes i agree having a character   you lie die is part  of   roleplaying experience,   the person who posted that in my opinion forgot the most important fact    and only stated a half truth,  it is not as important  wther the character dies   or not  it  IS  GENERALLY  MORE IMPORTANT FOR  ROLEPLAYING   IS  HOW THE CHARACTER DIES I  personally have had characters die   and their death great altered  the  playing   of other characters   and in some cases  was the entire reason  and prupose behind a  new characters history   and reason they  joined the group.  2 perfect example in this case are 1.---  Lobo and Boogie,    do the die heros  battling and buying  the rest of time causing distraction,  does boogie die giving  lobo enopugh time  to possibly  escape  and in sop doing brand  boogie a hero  and himself a coward, or does it happen in  a way that turns them both into heros.    2.  hearst, angel and rory,   do they die fighting  as team   and succesffulyy  kill  numbers of support possibly rescuing   some  with their valiant deaths, or  does angel die  saving  rory  making him  a hero, does  hearst  die  saving rory   and / or angel  earning him a position of respect withthem,  does rory  die saving hearst ,  does  hearst  trip and land on his own sword  killing himself by accident basically

and those are just 2  situational examples  where ihave listed  just a couple of the myriad of possibilities  to a death os  5 different characters   there are a thousand other options as well  ..........  the how is  just as if not more important then   the fact that  a character has died

although  as a player and not the gm  i will defer to what i must defer to and that  is the final saying of the gm ... whom i believe is   good and fair to all and a just  gm...  the reasons  stated  above are the reasons  that my vote  would  be  to not   do the time jump  and  even  more especially not   give a  simple list of casualties  wityh out listing    very detailed   descriptions of the hows for each  and every  character
