Iggy stopped dead on his way to the door.

"So your not an aura reader, eh.  I like your idea of just nibbling on the pale ones though."  Iggy turned a flashed his pearly whites to Desdemona.

"but let's be honest - Sabbat probably taste as bad as they look - rancid meat.  That's assuming we don't nab someone's ghoul - then it would be our own reckoning after this is all over - Protected Kine and such shit, eh."

Iggy started pushing their way to the door again.  "So now that we know we are blind-ass fighters.  What options other then fighting everyone, or painting a target on our chests can you think of?  I guess with that invisibility trick, and a Brujah as bait we could try the second option.  What ya think - Gage park and be loud and brazen?  Could be fun."

Most eyes in the bar turned as the large man leaving the bar suddenly roared in laughter at his suggestion. Might as well start the loud part right now for the sake of any audience.

It didn't take David's supernaturally enhanced hearing to make out the sound of the shotguns.  There were just too many too close together for it to be mistake for thunder.  It could only be a gun battle.  Angel, his ear still glued to the cell phone, got more of a front row seat.

"I can hear Will yelling but I can't make it out," he said.  "More battle cry than pain.  A lot of guns going off."  I'll try to bring him back for you Iggy, just so I can rub it in your face.

"I can see two, two, two, two, two bikes ahead,"  David said, quickening his pace.  "Hearst, if you can get one of them, them, them, them, them started, follow the path.  The arrival of a screaming maniac on a bike might give them enough of a shock to let the rest of us come up with a miracle.  Just remember, remember, remember, remember that bikes can be replaced but you can't.  Ramming speed, boy!, Ramming speed!"

"Did he say when he was going to call you?"  Antigen asked.  He paused, as if thinking of something.  "Do you think you could do a good job of describing him to Waylon?"

Thursday April 23rd,   12:47 AM -  Tailgate Charlie's

A blue Caravan stopped at the lights at the corner of Jackson and John.  The driver seemed to find Iggy rather amusing.  One of the passengers seemed to also take interest in the bald Brujah but it wasn't until the van was passing Iggy and Des that the reason became apparent.   For the fleetest second, the two vampires on the sidewalk saw a rotting corpse sitting in the back seat.  Just for an instant, it seemed that the head turned and looked directly at them with wet weeping eye sockets.  Then it looked away and the mini-van sped off towards the red light at John and Main, barely a block away.

Hearst immediately  broke into full run to the  bikes david had mentioned. " I will try to clear the path for your miracle," Hearst replied  breaking into full speed. Aimging for the bikes   Hearst  intention is to  check the bikes for the  keys  and  if the keys are  in the ignition of one of the bikes  then  start the bike and drive. If   keys are missing  then  Hearst just keeps running  with  shotgun out  in  each  hand,  down the path that david pointed out.  After reaching  bikes intent on making  as  much noise as loud as he can  either on the bike  or on foot.

Lobo hadn't left his keys and Boogie had hotwired Antigen's bike.  He'd left the wires exposed and, although Hearst didn't know the first thing about the Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance, it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how to restart the bike by twisting the wires together again.

The path was easy to see in the bike's headlight and it wasn't hard to spot the 'Sabbat was here' signpost.  There was no mistaking the head that was displayed so brazenly on the stick.  Few creatures were as ugly as a Nosferatu.  The headless corpse didn't belong to Jerome, however.  Boogie and Lobo had at least chalked up one kill before they moved on.

Hearst could see the path the vampires had taken.  It wasn't hard to spot.  Something in the back of his head was urging caution.  The rain and slick ground weren't making handling the street bike in off-road conditions any easier but somewhere at the other end of that slick and muddy path were Hearst's two comrades.

The shooting, however, had stopped.

"I can't hear anything,"  Angel said, the cell phone still held to his ear.

OOC:  And we have another example of Horner luck with Hearst being able to figure out how to hotwire a Harley in the dark, in the rain and with no repair skill......

Hearst was thankful for the weapons  he carried and would have to thank Scot if he ever got the chance to  later.   Making as much noise as he  could   to draw attention to himself   and away from  the others  both in front of and behind  him  Hearst continued  down the path   knowing that eventualy  he would find the spot  where his 2  family members were.  How  hard  could a battle scene they were involved  in be to notice.  hearst laughed at  that thought.  Silently wishing he had    been with them  for that challenge  win or lose it would have been glorious. Loudly Hearst bellowed, " WELL BOYS BETTER LATE THEN NEVER. MY FRIENDS   PLEASE  LEAVE  SOME   FOR HEARST   TO PLAY WITH.  I AM HERE   LET'S  DANCE."

And now for the next act. Remembering his lack of a phone Iggy looked to Desdemona, "Desdemona the question is moot now, seems they're revealing themselves.  Can you call and let Antigen know about the van be sure to mention our decaying friend.  I'll try to see where they go - catch up with me."  Kicking in his heightened speed Iggy quickly sprinted to the corner of John and Main, once there he scanned the intersection looking for the blue Caravan.

"If that is how you feel you can best serve,"  Antigen said.  Behind him a door opened and Chantal stepped in.  She whispered something in the Prince's ear.  "Unless of course you would rather take the opportunity for a little payback," he continued, almost as if his ghoul hadn't spoken.  "Chantal informs me that a van full of Sabbat, including at least one Samedi has been spotted downtown, at John and Main."

"Oh?" Fia's eyes flashed,

Something to keep busy... Violence works...

"No offense to Mr. Crosby but, that sounds like a much better task for me. However, I'll need to grab a bite on the way. Thank you," she said with a bow and left.

In the hallway, she ran into Chantal, "Hey, do you have any weapons?"

"I believe Scott's contacts came through for us," she replied, "this way, if you please," she said ushering Fia into the study.

Fia watched as she effortlessly hauled a large Team Canada hockey bag onto the table, despite her size, "Take what you need."

"Thanks," she nodded to Chantal and opened the bag. Oodles of goodies lay inside. A chainsaw gleamed under the light. Fia chuckled to herself, but chose a more sensible and concealable weapon. The brass knuckles were comfortably heavy in her hands. She replaced the chainsaw and re-zipped the bag.

"Hopefully I can still catch them. Wish me luck," she called behind her as she ran to the door.

She jumped in her van and pulled out onto street and merged into traffic. She pulled out the camera she kept in the glove compartment and tucked it under her leg.

Actively trying not to screw up this time... she thought to herself as she scanned the traffic for the vehicle. She didn't see it, so she kept looking.

Thursday April 23rd, 12:48  Dundas

They came at him from all directions but Boogie didn't care.  He let out a battle cry and pulled the triggers on both shotguns.  The Dragon's Breath lit up the night and two of the Sabbat newbies didn't even have the chance to make a noise as the specialized ammunition snuffed out their candles in a blaze of light.  The biker laughed.  These childer were no threat to him.  He was master of the streets and they were going to learn what it meant to tangle with a Brujah.

He had not time to reload, so he began swinging the shotguns as if they were clubs.  He barely felt the blows they rained down on him, didn't even acknowledge the impact of their bullets against his flesh.  He was Brujah and they were nothing before the awesome might of his rage.

He raised the shotgun to bring it crushing down upon the head of one foolish vampire who got a little too close but instead of coming up, the gun went down.  Boogie paused, looking at the weapon and wondering who's hand it was gripping the barrrel.  Then he realized it was his own and wondered why he couldn't feel pain where his arm had been severed at the elbow.  He drove the bloody stump into somebody's face, following it up with a crushing blow from his other hand.  The butt of the shotgun turned the face to jell-o, the bone beneath to splinters.

The sound of the fight was getting further away, something that made no sense to Boogie.  Wasn't he in the middle of it?  Somebody jumped on his back and wrapped an arm around his neck.  Boogie dropped to one knee and his attacker let out a yell as they flew over his head to sprawl on the ground before him.  Two others seized him, trying to force him the rest of the way down.  He stood despite their efforts, throwing them aside like children.  he laughed at them.

"I am one, alone and you still can't even make me stay on one knee!"

It was the last thing he ever said.  The axe that had severed his arm took him in the back of the head and Will “Boogie” Davis went to his Final Death with the corpses of his foes surrounding him and their fellows howling for his blood.

"Drink deep,"  Drake said, licking the blood from the axe in his hand.  "This one will have good strong blood.  And somebody bring me some salt.  There's a Gangrel here and he's going to stay down until we want him to come back up."

"I can see a light coming,"  somebody said.  "Looks like a motorcycle."

Drake indicated two of the survivors.  "You two, take him down.  It could only be another one of these stupid Camarilla morons.  Even if it's Kine, we could all use a bite after this."

Thursday April 23rd, 12:48 -1:00 am -Downtown Hamilton

The minivan Iggy was chasing made an illegal left turn, down the bus lane by Gore Park.  The sprinting Brujah made it to the corner to see the van turn again, onto James Street, which would take it back towards the mountain.  By the time he reached that corner, it was just dropping out of view to head under the tracks for the GO station.

Unwilling to give up, Iggy continued the chase, knowing that the Sabbat was likely playing with him.  He came upon the van parked by the entrance to the Go Station, a parking meter happily chirping away the half hour that was left on it.  If they'd gone inside, they had bitten off more than they could chew.  Donna was inside and she wasn't alone.

A bullet riddled Animal Control van pulled up beside Iggy.  Inside was Fia, still bloody from her previous encounter with the Sabbat but certainly unbowed.

Still making  as much noise as possible  Hearst. Thinking about  what david  said.  Bikes can be replaced..... Hearst  got off the bike   and  revved it to  the  most it could  go  while he held it  standing beside it,  when it  was  as much as  he could hold  he let  the bike go. knowing it would not go far   but it would make a noise and a a scene.  Thinking to himself   i dont think the boys would have gone  too far from their bikes so i should be seeing  signs  or hearing something  at some point soon  and   I know i can fight  probably better then most  but this is not  a primary fight of winning,  this is me  giving david time and hopefully  boogie and lobo time as well.  I am the tank that draws the fire  and distracts  for  david's  miracle.   while  still jogging forward but away from  where the bike would have stopped  hearst check both shotguns making sure they are loaded  and both  tang blades are ready for use  when the shotguns  were empty. Confident  the weapons were ready and  his mind  moved into fighting mode from  his past,   Hearst  Bellowed , " HERE I AM  YOU SABBAT SCUM I AM TIRED  OF WAITING FOR YOU, I AM THE ONE  YOU ARE LOOKING FOR, AND  COME GET SOME!!!"  Letting out a  snarling  ferocious growl  remembering that most of them out here would be new  to  there state of unlife and might be easily intimidated. " THIS  WOLF IS READY TO BITE BACK. YOU COWARDLY PUPS!!!!!

As Fia got out of the her van Iggy unconsciously growled and stepped back from the diablabrist. As quick as it started the large brujah swallowed his snarl and smiled at Fia.  Although now friendly he still kept his distance.

"Fia great timing - sure you top yourself up and maybe give Desdemona a quick call to let her know where I am.  And while your grabbing lunch I'll just satisfy my curiosity."

Iggy approached the Econoline, stepped up to the rear van door and peered in.  Empty.  Iggy yanked on the handle.  "Locked! Figures - Torontians are so sure we want their shit they'd padlock their asses if they could.  But then no lock ever stopped a Hamiltonian."  Iggy kicked in his potence and put his hammer through the door's window.  Reaching in he unlocked the door.  He looked over at Fia, grinned and opened the door.  Confirming the van was empty he jumped in - a few minutes with the hammer against the steering column and the would be get-way vehicle was impounded as surly as if it was booted.

Thursday April 23rd, 1:02 am - Outside GO Station

On a rain night in Hamilton, there were few people lingering on the streets and even fewer willing to remain in an area where somebody was demolishing the interior of a parked minivan.  If Fia was going to get something to eat, she was going to have to look either farther afield or enter the GO Station and go into direct competition with the Sabbat, who were most likely trying to turn the late night travelers into their own personal snack bar.

Thursday April 23rd,   12:47 1:02AM -  Outside the go station - Des/Nat

The Malkavian had left like a bat out of hell. She had her marching orders and had done her best to try and dial Antigen while run and try to keep up with the over zealous Brujah.

"Shit shit fuck fuck!" She breathed heavily as she ran down the street and was greeted by the Princes ghoul. She relayed the information as if she were a cop in hot pursuit of a fugitive giving the time sighting and en route position.

She dashed across the road as she began to lose sight of her partner in crime in time to be clipped by a cab.

The impact was hard enough to knock her down and her cellphone flew out of her hands and across the road where it was sadly run over by a passing bus that was on its last trip of the night before it went back to the garage.

Natalie lay there for a moment stunned and pissed off.  The cabbie came out of his cab into the rainy night and was on a cell phone talking in some language to someone before he knelt down to ask her if she could get up.

She lay there wishing that it would stop hurting and it did after sometime. But she felt hungry... At his question she looked unsure. The cabby had only been too happy to lend her a hand up telling her she didn't look to bad.

Nat was not really in the greatest of moods. This gaming group she had joined was insane. they did everything to the extreme and she was still trying to adjust. And her player had run off on her how the fuck was she supposed to get back into the game.

With a growl she actually bit the cabbie her mind doing its best to blot out her true nature. She took about a pint before licking the wound shut and stood up wiping the back of her hand across her pouty lips.

The blonde vampire waved the cabbie away not bothering to stop she walked almost in a trance down the street focusing on the path and last direct line of distance she had seen Iggy.

She eventually found it. It had been the sound of glass and metal smashing and she found her team mate.

"Hey Iggy I relayed the info like you asked." Des replied she  the fall into the rainy street had soaked her from head to toe giving her a rather drowned lost waif look. "But a fucking cabbie hit me and a bus ran over my god damned cell phone. So whats the purpose of this? This part of our missing objective? I thought we were supposed to be hunting dead people?"

Fia snapped her phone shut and tucked it back into her pocket. She pulled out her puffy, black Animal Control jacket from the van and handed it to the dripping former teammate, and pulled out a sweater for herself. She could at least cover some of the blood.

"The last bus is coming in now. It looks like my only chance, so I'll be back,"

She walked to the shelter and waited on a bench as the bus pulled up and people started to file out. The crowd eventually thinned as people were picked up in cars and cabs.

Thursday April 23rd, 1:04 am - A bench Outside GO Station

Fia wasn't the only one waiting for a free meal but unlike Fia, the Sabbat kindred wasn't waiting for the crowd to thin.  He forced his way onto the GO bus, through the disembarking passengers and with a casual disregard that was frightening, sank his fangs into the driver's throat.  He was obviously new at the task, because a spray of bright crimson covered part of the windshield, obscuring the scene from view.

Then again, it wasn't as if Fia needed a visual to know what was happening.

"Hey Desdemona, thanks.  Fia is here too, she's just ..." Iggy's explanation  was interrupted by a shrill high-pitched whistle from inside the Go Station.  "That's a police whistle - animal services uses the same type - Fia's calling for help.  Ready to rumble Desdemona?"  Iggy jumped out of the disabled van and headed  toward the sound at full speed. Iggy looked back at Desdemona with a large grin on his face "Lets pray we can hold until the calvary shows up, eh!"  As Iggy disappeared onto the bus station platform his laughter echoed back to the young kindred behind him.
