Monday July 8th 8:55 pm Inside an unknown building - Seattle - Adam
The curtain opened and a hand very gently took hold of Tristan's wrist. "Ease off, friend," Adam said. "We've all seen our fair share of Hell. More than our fair share, some of us. If you were so unsure, you should have spoken up. David was used by vampires who ran a little on the sadistic side. Now he only feeds those that roll him, the ones who use their power to make the bite feel good, or ones that use a knife. He wants you to look him in the eye, hypnotize him and then bite. Have you got it or do I need to get more specific?"
Adam didn't look angry. He looked wary, as if he expected Tristan to react badly to his touch. His grip wasn't strong. A human could likely have broken it. It wasn't restraint, so much as a warning.
For his part, David was just looking at Tristan, his fingers touching the knife on the table. He knew better than to try to attack a vampire. He wouldn't stand a chance. The expression in his eyes was unreadable, distant.
