Rocked by the Coop
« on: »
I just got in from an Alice Cooper concert.

Alice hit the stage at 9:00:00
The audience hit their feet at 9:00:10 and stayed on their feet for two hours of serious hard core Alice Cooper madness.  In the end, he hung himself.  It was awesome in the extreme.  Kinda creepy though, when you find out the woman he knocks around during 'Only Women Bleed' and murders during another song was played by one of his daughters....

I thought this was about the artist Coop. Admittedly though Alice Cooper is way cooler. I'd do pretty much anything to see him, is his stage show still amazing?

Hell, yeah!  He plays the audience like a fiddle.  Had people in the front row literally jumping to try and grab something he was dangling over the audience.  Made them jump 4-5 times before he threw it to somebody six rows away....

Tossed 10-15 necklaces, two canes and a riding crop into the audience, followed by a sword full (you read right) of 1 dollar bills into the audience during Million Dollar Baby.

You should have heard the crowd go NUTS when they wheeled the gallows on stage....

It was like a greatest hits show.  Killer drummer and his leader guitarist was amazing.

Not a lot of set dressing, actually.  Just a gauzy curtain and a flight of stairs.

When I saw them, they were supposed to be supported by motorhead, but motorhead cancelled because the lead singer's kid was sick. At the end of the night, the lead guitar did a cover of 'Ace of spades'

Econoline Crush opened.  I recognized one song.  The base player was the archetypal rock guitarist....  black leather vest with nothing under it, arm band on one arm, tattoos on the other.  He just didn't have the hair but he was working his head as if he did.  It was quite amusing.
