The tone of the music was shifting, retaining its dark, sexy quality, but sliding in an almost Victorian undertone.  It could have been the thin young man playing the violin that made it seem so, but when you listened, really listened, you could tell that what you might have thought was the keyboard was really the sound of a harpsichord, the antique instrument having been hidden until then.

Diana looked up at the change in the music; she'd always enjoyed this particular song.

As she tapped her finger in time to the music she looked over at the bartender who'd come to see how'd she was faring. "Such a lovely piece, don't you think?"

Kennedy nodded and gave the other woman a look that asked the unspoken.

Diana just gave her a smile.

The singer ran a finger along the brim of his top hat, pulling it forward and letting his long mess of hair hide his face.  He stood so for the several long minutes of the instrumental, then finally, he lifted his head, autumn colored eyes sparkling as the stage lights shifted color, bathing them in blue lights.

"Moonlight gathered on the tip of my tongue...”  He softly crooned into the microphone.

His gaze finding the table in the back of the room.

Diana felt the full weight of Damian's gaze fall on her. It didn't matter where she was in the crowd he would always find her. She then felt him draw on the connection they had, and she let it pull her into the music and her part.

Kennedy watched as Diana seemingly fell into a near trance like state, as Damian continued to seduce the microphone with his voice.

"Can you hear it, Nightingale?  This gilded cage beckons sweetly...so very sweetly..."  The corners of his lips turned upward in a knowing smirk.

Diana slowly got up from the table, feeling the thrum of the music in her blood and the pull to be near Damian. She wove through the crowd narrowly missing some of the people flooding the dance floor as she made her way to the stage.

Kennedy watched an eyebrow lifted in surprise.

Damian held out a hand for Diana as she approached the stage, curling his fingers as if he were beckoning her to take his hand.

Diana lifted her hand up and waited for the man to take and lift her up onto the stage.

Damian wrapped his fingers around her wrist and smiled his devils smile, pulling her so she would have to jump up to him.

Diana returned his devil's smile for one of her own and bent her knees just slightly as he pulled. Her feet hit the floor of the stage and she was looking in his eyes.

He continued his song, only now it seemed he spoke to the girl whose arm was captured in his fingers.  He pulled her close, his voice a seduction as he let his gaze slide from his captive to the audience.

She went with the move, allowing herself to press her body closer, yet still not touching him. As his eyes shifted from her to the audience, she allowed her own turquoise gaze to wash over the band as the played, smiling at the drummer.

The fingers of his free hand slid up to play through her hair, his lyrics painting a sensual symphony that they had both played so many times before.  This was their most popular song.  Something about the way they played off of each other made their fans...excited.

Raven fanned her self as she watched the tableau before her unfold.

Kennedy lifted a brow at the scene that was playing out before her, she'd known that Diana would be a part of the show; she just didn't realize that, that was how she was going to join the band. She flicked her silver gaze over to the captain at the bar and to Jonathon who was shifting uncomfortably on his bar stool.

Mina excepted the drink with a grateful sigh and smile.  A small shiver went down her spine when the Captain patted her hand but it faded just as fast as it arrived.  She was glad that the place was so busy, it meant that most of those who knew her here would be to busy to ask her any questions.  Picking up the glass, she took a good swallow and felt the burn as the alcohol worked its way down her throat.  The first drink of the golden liquid helped wash the sour taste of bile from her mouth.  The second had a small fog settling around her overloaded mind.  A few more of these and she wouldn't even be able to remember her own name.  And right now she really didn't care.  All she really wanted was to close her eyes and not see the horror of the past week.
