Monday July 8th, 11:46 a.m. - - The Pack Preserve - - Lobo
"If you'd rather chase down that buck, rather than eat lamb, more power to you," Lobo said. "Ryan, Shale, why don't you go see if the pair of you can take it down. Troy, if you want to join them, feel free. Ryan can show you around, unless you'd rather get a round out of Andrew." He chuckled. "I've seem that look way too many times. He's single and enjoys poetry, foreign films and live theatre. He cooks, breeds exotic fish and speaks four languages. No, he's not gay."
Andrew shook his head. "You're not content being my Ulfric. Now you want to be my social coordinator. You forgot to mention that I snore and I'm a blanket hog."
"Trying to play matchmaker is not your job," Ryan said immediately. "You're the Ulfric, our leader. You cannot be everybody's friend. it undermines your authority."
Lobo chuckled. "Alright, I see your point. That being said, if Andrew wants to show Troy around, I have no objections. If frees my Geri from that task. I am surrounded by my pack council on our private land. If I'm not safe here, I never will be."
"You will be without your Loki as well," Ryan pointed out.
"I promise we won't let him make any major decisions," Tom replied.
Ryan nodded, satisfied.
"To answer your question, Troy, I'd say about a third of the pack is female. Half of them have mates, either inside or outside the pack and in a few cases, both. Of those that are left, I'd say half of them are multi-partner. So, if you want to stake a claim on a popular male, expect to face a few scraps. As you might expect, Andrew is fairly popular, if only for his stamina."
"The only time you won't face a fight is if you meet your true mate," Ryan said, his fingers unconsciously tracing their way up Shale's arm. "I wasn't exactly on the top ten list but I had my admirers. They were a little irate when Shale and I hooked up but one look at us and they all backed off. There are just some things you can't fight."
