Respect the managers and your fellow members, this means be decent to them. Swearing, cussing, and being down right rude is best left in the school yard. If there is a report of this brought to our attention members will be banned for 2 weeks for each instance of it. If you have an issue with a member on the site ignore the person. If they however send/post/message you with anything that could be considered abusive material please forward that to the Management team by Private Message or Email.

If you have a complaint or problem with a member or any of the management team we ask that you send your complaint by Private Message or Email to the managers of the site and not post it on the boards. Any complaints and issues that have been posted on the boards will be deleted by a manager and you will be sent a response via pm. This is a site for creative writing and we respect your privacy about key issue. We keep all complaints confidential and only the managers have access to that information. Managers will share your complaint info with each other only to help resolve your issues faster. However be aware that some issues can take a couple of days to resolve.

All members are to have ONE account and only one account on The Elmwood. There is no need for using a secondary account. If you have been found guilty of this your secondary account will be deleted and you will be banned. We ask that members have one account for the sole reason of being creditable for ones work actions and behavior on this site.

All members are asked not to give out their passwords to friends and family/members or to let them post on the site using your member id. This is done for your protection since you alone are accountable for your actions. If management finds out that this has been done you will be asked to change your site password. The member that is using the Primary members account will be issued a warning and banned for no less than 3 days. If they continue to try to post under that account they will be suspended for two weeks for each offense.

Inappropriate material posted on The Elmwood will be deleted and  your account will be suspended from The Elmwood for 1 month to forever depending on the sort of material posted and the mood of the management. This includes hardcore pornography and extreme porn involving kids, animals and anything deemed to be Illicit or inappropriate by management.

This is a Role Playing site. Not a site to stalk/pick up members. If management finds that a member harasses the members of this community. They will be immediately banned, and removed permanently depending on the severity of incident.

Ignoring a thread moderator and not accepting their judgement calls will get you banned if you continue to do so after you have been warned by a Manager. This punishment lasts for 1 week to one year depending on the degree of hostility towards the moderator and how badly you have disrupted the thread. Please be advised that arguing with a moderator excessively is considered harassment. The thread moderators have final say on if your character gets approved or not. Do not give them a hard time.

We are adults and not children. We REQUIRE that all members that join be 17 years of age or older.
